Hoya obscura in 5" pot
The plants in the Hoya family have been widely grown for many years by mothers and grandmothers everywhere and due to their easy care and beautiful blooms they have gained popularity once again with nearly everyone. Hoyas have been called Porcelain flower or wax plant due to their star-shaped flowers and their shiny, waxy leaves. They make great houseplants, especially in low light areas.

Bright indirect light year-round is ideal for Hoyas. Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Wax plants love high humidity and the foliage appreciates misting. The flowers are star-shaped, in parachute-shaped clusters, with a sweet fragrance and may produce a sticky sap.
