Calathea Makoyana in 4" pot
Calathea Makoyana is a stunning choice to add to any plant collection. With just a little care the leaves of this plant always look too perfect to be real, almost like silk. It likes an area where it will receive diffused light. Using only rain water or distilled water, keep the soil damp at all times but not soaked. Your Calathea will appreciate humidity, being that it comes from the rain forests of Brazil. Temperatures between 65° and 85° are ideal. You will be rewarded with intricately patterned leaves that resemble peacock feathers...the reason it has come to be known as the "Peacock Plant".

Your Calathea Makoyana will arrive in a 4" pot so it will have room to grow for a little while but it will need more room as it grows. Please keep it out of direct sunlight. In the jungle where it comes from it grows mainly in the understory so it only receives filtered light. With a little care your Calathea will give you more gorgeous leaves that look almost too perfect to be real. Enjoy!
